Moto Hagio Sketch Collection II opens a window onto the development of the artist's science-fiction worlds, from They Were Eleven! to Otherworld Barbara. Sketches for original stories and adaptations preserve ideas before they reached their finished form.
Hagio's commentary and an interview accompany the drawings. Every page of the unfinished psychic-themed manga Sam Was Dead is reproduced as part of the archive. Published by Shinchosha, this Japanese-language collection contains 208 pages.
