My Diary Blu-ray Box
TV ドラマ マイダイアリー Blu-ray BOX
My Diary looks back at the ordinary moments that quietly turn strangers into the people who make life feel like home. Kaya Kiyohara plays Yuki, now in her first year of working life, whose present-day experiences prompt her to revisit memories of the friends she met at university. Each episode follows a small trigger back into those shared days, tracing the distance people feel from one another and the gradual trust that closes it.
After watching a film with Hiromi, Yuki finds herself unexpectedly moved as he finishes a box of cold popcorn. Her thoughts return to April two years earlier, when she was starting her third university year and wondering how to make the time she had left feel meaningful. Under a cherry tree, she noticed a student absorbed in writing mathematical formulas. Their quiet exchange of glances was brief: he hurried away, leaving his backpack behind.
Yuki and her classmates Mahiru and Airi set out to find its owner. Elsewhere, Hiromi reaches the cafeteria till without realizing that his wallet is still in the missing bag. Another student, Toranosuke, helps him and offers to search for it while Hiromi goes to class. This modest chain of encounters draws together five young people with different backgrounds and personalities, each carrying worries they struggle to put into words.
Hayato Sano, Ai Yoshikawa, Ai Mikami and Ayumu Mochizuki join Kiyohara as the central friends, with Yoshiyuki Tsubokura, Yuri Nakamura and Masanobu Katsumura among the supporting cast. Rather than treating youth only as a sequence of dramatic milestones, the original series builds its story around everyday companionship, emotional uncertainty and the places where people learn to be themselves.
The four-disc Blu-ray box includes all nine episodes, approximately 402 minutes of programme, and 122 minutes of extras. Supplementary footage features making-of material and a cast roundtable, the recorded production press conference, a programme-highlights special, the cast's photo diaries and the complete teamwork challenge. A booklet accompanies the set.
Presented in 16:9 1080i, the series has Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 audio. The Blu-rays are region-free and do not include subtitles.
