My Hero Academia Anime

Unable to become a hero, yet still determined to save someone: My Hero Academia: Vigilantes tells a grounded story of growth among heroes who work outside the law. Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia, serialized for ten years in Weekly Shonen Jump and celebrated around the world, receives its long-awaited animated official spin-off. Written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court for Shonen Jump+, this story takes place several years before My Hero Academia.

In a society where roughly eighty percent of the population possesses supernatural abilities, officially licensed heroes protect people from accidents, disasters and villains who misuse their Quirks. Alongside that chosen profession are people who were never chosen, but still cannot ignore someone in need. These are the unlicensed heroes known as Vigilantes.

Koichi Haimawari is an unremarkable university student who admired heroes but abandoned his dream of becoming one. His private pleasure is wandering the streets dressed as All Might, helping people while pretending to be a professional hero. His ordinary days change when he meets Pop Step, a self-proclaimed idol who performs unauthorized guerrilla concerts, and Knuckleduster, a mysterious masked man who calls himself a cleaner specializing in taking out the trash. Drawn into their Vigilante activities, Koichi faces a difficult question: are these people criminals disrupting public order, or a force for justice? The story of the illegal heroes begins.

Volume 4 contains episodes 20-26, and an ending-video extra.

The originally announced first-press sleeve illustrated by Takahiko Yoshida, twelve-page booklet and smartphone-sized sticker are limited-production extras and are not guaranteed.
