My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex Animation

The anime adaptation of the novel that won the romantic-comedy grand prize in the third Kakuyomu Web Novel Contest arrives on Blu-ray. Volume 1 features charming new illustrations by original character designer TakayaKi on the slipcase and by project No.9 on the tall-case jacket. An exclusive, substantial new story by original author Kyosuke Kamishiro and a special postcard accompany the release.

Mizuto Irido and Yume Ayai became a couple in middle school. Small misunderstandings gradually brought more irritation than excitement, and they broke up at graduation. Just before entering high school, they meet again in an unexpected way: their parents have remarried, making their recent ex their new stepsibling. Each insists on being the older sibling.

Out of consideration for their parents, they agree on a sibling rule: whoever starts seeing the other as a romantic prospect loses. But awkward encounters after a bath, walks to and from school alone together, their shared memories and life under one roof make it difficult to ignore each other. Revisit the sweet, frustrating romantic comedy of this quarrelling pair in episodes 1–4.
