Ponkan8's illustrations have been part of My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, as I Expected since the first novel appeared in March 2011. This collection looks back over approximately a decade of that visual work, bringing together nearly the full range of Oregairu illustrations available when the book was produced.

The selection extends from novel covers and colour pin-up illustrations to monochrome drawings from inside the books. Rare images previously confined to special editions appear alongside artwork that had not been included in the collected novels, bringing scattered material into the same volume.

At the end, Ponkan8 and original author Wataru Watari take part in their first published conversation together. Their discussion adds a creator's perspective to the relationship between the story and its illustrations. The Japanese artbook contains 200 pages.
