Namie Amuro _genic CD
_genic
Arriving roughly two years after Feel, which extended her run of consecutive Oricon number-one albums to six, _genic introduces an entirely new set of recordings. Japanese and international creators shape dance beats and R&B grooves inspired by the 1980s and 1990s into colourful contemporary dance-pop.
Joacim Persson, known for work with Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez, contributes the classic R&B-flavoured Golden Touch. Seventyeight Productions, associated with Kerli and Loreen, creates Amuro’s first birthday song, Birthday. James “Keyz” Foye, whose credits include Beyoncé and Sean Paul, provides the ballad Anything, while British producer SOPHIE, who worked on Madonna’s music with Diplo, contributes B Who I Want 2 B.
Continuing Amuro’s collaborations with forward-looking creators, the album also includes What I Did for Love with leading dance-music DJ and producer David Guetta as a special track.
