At the time Higher’s High was announced, Nanawo Akari had passed 510,000 YouTube subscribers, while Turing Love feat. Sou had reached 32 million music-video views and spread widely on TikTok and the charts. Her third single makes this her second consecutive anime-theme release, with Higher’s High opening Warlords of Sigrdrifa.

The title song is a rock number written by NayutalieN, who also created her anthems Dadadada Tenshi and Turing Love. The couplings include the emotional Cry Song, written by DECO*27, and Drama, shaped by delicate lyrics from former Negoto member Sachiko Aoyama. This edition adds a TAKU INOUE remix of Turing Love feat. Sou.
