“Nbaba!” Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Papuwa anime with the first complete-series Blu-ray box. Based on Ami Shibata’s manga, it brings together Nangoku Shonen Papuwa-kun, broadcast from October 1992 to October 1993, and PAPUWA, broadcast from September 2003 to March 2004. The OVA Nangoku Shonen Papuwa-kun: Let’s Meet on a Starry Night is included too.

All 42 episodes of the first series, the single OVA and all 26 episodes of PAPUWA fit onto three Blu-rays. Digitally remastered from the original masters in high-bitrate SD, this compact, affordable edition provides approximately nine hours per disc for extended viewing. Anniversary artwork depicts “Everyone on Papuwa Island” on the box and “We Are the Gamma Army” on the inner jacket.

Extras include the Nangoku Shonen Papuwa-kun pilot and three reissued Animate Cassette Collection recordings, preserved on Blu-ray: “A Brother’s Message of Love to Kotaro!”, “Kuriko, the Girl from the Snow Country” and “Operation to Retake Gamma Army Headquarters”. Two reproduced mini art boards, newly illustrated by character designers Kei Takeuchi and Yoshiko Nakajima for their respective series, may be included while bonus stocks last.
