NieR:Automata Anime

The hugely popular action RPG NieR:Automata becomes a television anime. This Blu-ray Disc Box presents all episodes of the second cour, first broadcast in July 2024: Chapters 13–24 of NieR:Automata Ver 1.1a.

The year is 5012. Aliens suddenly arrive on Earth, and the machine lifeforms they create bring humanity to the brink of extinction. The few humans who escape to the Moon begin a counteroffensive using android soldiers to reclaim the planet. Faced with machine lifeforms that multiply without end, however, the fighting reaches a stalemate. Humanity sends a new android unit, YoRHa, to Earth as its ultimate weapon.

In the year 11945, the 243rd Descent Operation is carried out, sending YoRHa units 2B and 9S to Earth. They successfully defeat Adam and Eve, core units of the machine lifeforms. Seeing this as an opportunity to annihilate the enemy and bring the long war to an end, the Army of Humanity decides to launch an all-out attack on the machine lifeforms.

This is the record of the battles and wishes of androids at the mercy of fate.
