Nijiiro Carte Blu-ray Box

Doctors are human too, aren't they? Mitsuki Takahata, Takumi Kitamura and Arata Iura share a home at a clinic deep in the mountains. Master storyteller Yoshikazu Okada creates a healing, heartfelt drama about a medical team.

After travelling through a dense forest on a suspicious-looking bus, a doctor named Masora Kureno, played by Mitsuki Takahata, arrives at the isolated Niji Village Clinic. She has come from the emergency department of a major Tokyo hospital, carrying a secret of her own.

As she waits to be collected at the village bus stop, a girl resembling a zashiki-warashi household spirit beckons to her. Following the girl into Nijiiro Shoten, the village's only diner, Masora finds the colourful villagers gathered together, each as individual as a yokai.

Eventually, she is shown to the clinic. There she will live under one roof with Saku Asagi, played by Arata Iura, an eccentric surgeon in overalls and sunglasses who declares that farming is his real occupation, and Taiyo Aoyama, played by Takumi Kitamura, an exceptionally capable young nurse with a blunt fringe and a short temper.

Even if life is different from the one they wished for, even if they forget the faces of those they love, doctors and patients are all human. Life has rain and rainbows. These doctors are far from superheroes, but their journey as a medical team is filled with both laughter and tears.
