Firis dreams of leaving her enclosed mining town and exploring the outside world. After meeting Sophie and Plachta, she begins learning alchemy and travels from town to town, completing assignments and gathering recommendation letters for the official alchemist examination one year away.

The DX edition adds four vehicles and exploration tools that improve travelling, stamina use and gathering. Defeat seven new monsters to unlock a stronger Palmyra boss battle, enjoy much of the original downloadable content, speed up combat and take pictures in photo mode.
