From tvk, the broadcaster behind Sengoku Nabe TV, comes a new drama about Japan’s warring-states era. Let’s conquer the realm through everyday life!

Yudai Tatsumi of the four-member male idol group 4U, then affiliated with Johnny & Associates, takes his first leading role in a television drama. Nearly twenty popular young actors join the cast. The original manga Nobunaga Miman: Tensei Mitsuhide ga Taosenai is serialized in Comic Earth Star, known for adaptations of reincarnation stories and web novels, including Sengoku Komachi Kurotan and A Tale of the Secret Saint, among numerous series exceeding one million copies in circulation. Writers and directors include Yoshifumi Sakai of the popular Kyoto theatre company Europe Kikaku.

This new entertainment drama brings the fantasy of reincarnated Sengoku warlords into the real, present-day world. It also incorporates variety-show elements, using techniques developed through Sengoku Nabe TV.

Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Tokugawa Ieyasu, Maeda Toshiie, Shibata Katsuie and Hori Kyutaro are reincarnated in modern Japan as six brothers in their twenties! Unaware that they are reborn warlords, they live happily together under one roof. The sole exception is Mori Ranmaru, a younger-brother figure who lives nearby.

Nobunaga’s reincarnation follows just one rule: Akechi Mitsuhide is always reborn in the same timeline, and whenever Nobunaga loses to him, Nobunaga is reincarnated into the next timeline! Other reborn warlords devoted to Mitsuhide join the fray, bringing one Sengoku-like disturbance after another into the scale of modern everyday life.

Ranmaru — Ryo Sekoguchi. A childhood friend and younger-brother figure to the six, he has the most ordinary outlook and the strongest common sense. Keeping his memories from before reincarnation, he tries to stir the brothers into defeating Akechi. His efforts misfire, however, and this hard-working soul ends up drawing the short straw.

Hideyoshi — Shota Takasaki. He enjoys an idle, foolish life alongside Nobunaga, yet also has a crafty strategist’s side and a talent for ideas. Among the six brothers, he alone has something approaching a sensible thought process.

Ieyasu — Rui Tabuchi. Easygoing and always a beat behind the others, he becomes extraordinarily particular and stubborn when food is involved. Especially with economical cooking, he can devise original recipes perfectly matched to whoever will eat them.

Toshiie — Keita Seto. Slightly timid and androgynous, he is seriously in love with Nobunaga and has unilaterally decided that Ranmaru is his rival.

Katsuie — Yuki Ueno. The most athletic of the six brothers, he finds supreme happiness in developing his muscles and trains whenever he can. He will tackle any heavy work that lets him use his strength. He also knows a great deal about classic professional-wrestling techniques.

Kyutaro — Ryoya Takahashi. He normally stays in the background and acts cool, but when mathematics or science enters the conversation, this secret mad scientist suddenly pushes forward. He also knows a great deal about magic and the occult.

Akechi Mitsuhide — Ryo Hirano. A childhood friend of Nobunaga and the others, he has always reincarnated alongside Nobunaga through millions of lives: a literally eternal rival. He is a city councillor in the regional city where the brothers live.

Saito Toshimitsu — Sho Higano. Akechi’s secretary and the organizer of his supporters’ association, he works to eliminate Nobunaga and the others who interfere with Akechi.

Uesugi Kenshin — Tatsuki Jonin. A narcissist who behaves like an aristocrat, invoking noblesse oblige while sending salt to his enemies.

Azai Nagamasa — Kohei Murakami. A responsible, earnest gentleman and an all-round sports player.

Asakura Yoshikage — Ryosuke Kato. A greedy miser motivated by profit and loss, he makes a fortune through live-stream commerce.

Miyoshi Nagayoshi — Toshihiko Tanaka. An optimist who quickly goes along with the mood of the moment. For some reason, he speaks in a Kansai dialect.

Sen no Rikyu — Masaki Ota. The proprietor of Wabicha, the cafe frequented by Nobunaga and the others. He wants to pursue wabi-sabi aesthetics, but Nobunaga’s lingering presence embodies the opposite, preventing things from going well. His proverb-like advice falls on deaf ears: an unfortunate man.

Imagawa Yoshimoto — TAKA (CUBERS). A man who is always cleaning outside Nobunaga’s house and fires off questions in rapid succession whenever someone passes.

Additional voice performance: Karam.
