Nobuo Uematsu Merregnon: Heart of Ice UHQCD
植松伸夫/メレグノン:ハート・オブ・アイス
Nobuo Uematsu's Merregnon: Heart of Ice introduces the Final Fantasy composer's first original concert work and his Decca Classics debut, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.
Merregnon is a symphonic fantasy created by international artists as an imaginary soundtrack, rather than music for an existing game. Producer and artistic director Thomas Bocker, Uematsu's friend for over twenty years, combines orchestral storytelling with a new concert experience for younger audiences.
Children's author Frauke Angel supplies the original story for this symphonic fairy tale. Each character has an orchestral instrument and a recurring musical theme, a storytelling approach familiar to RPG players. The Japanese edition features narration by Rie Tozuka, a member of Uematsu's con TIKI ensemble.
In a frozen kingdom, the small wooden robot Kjugo searches for his creator, Nuobi. His encounter with the Ice Wind Dancer, who rules an eternal winter, becomes a story of courage and hope as he tries to restore warmth to the world.
