Ojamajo Doremi Animation

Happy! Lucky! Bringing Blu-ray magic to everyone! A landmark of magical-girl animation, the memorable first Ojamajo Doremi television series returns in an affordable edition.

Ojamajo Doremi became a major hit when its broadcast began in 1999 and continued as a series for four years. Enthusiastic support from fans remained strong after the broadcasts ended, leading to the side story Ojamajo Doremi Na-i-sho. From 2011, Kodansha also published the Ojamajo Doremi 16 novels, depicting the heroines as high-school students. The beloved first television series now returns in this specially priced box.

The series has been digitally remastered in HD. The art slipcase and inner jackets feature illustrations by Yoshihiko Umakoshi, accompanied by picture-labelled discs and an extensive selection of video extras.

Doremi Harukaze dreams of magic and calls herself the world’s unluckiest beautiful girl. One day, she visits an unusual shop called MAHO-do and discovers that its owner, Majo Rika, is a witch. To her astonishment, Majo Rika immediately transforms into a strange witch frog!

Majo Rika insists that Doremi take responsibility by becoming a witch herself. A witch who has been turned into a witch frog can only return to her original form through the magic of the person who discovered her identity.

Through an unexpected turn of events, Doremi, Hazuki and Aiko become apprentice witches. Doremi’s younger sister Pop and the popular idol Onpu join them, and their magical, miraculous days of training to become fully fledged witches unfold at school and at MAHO-do.

The video extras include witch-examination quizzes from grade nine through grade one. Answering every question correctly unlocks commemorative footage. Further extras include creditless opening and ending sequences, end cards and the preview announcing the new series.

The programme and video extras are the same as those in the previously released Ojamajo Doremi Blu-ray Box. Product specifications may change.
