Following the success of And I Love You, DREAMS COME TRUE return with Mata Ne, the theme song for One Piece: Episode of Chopper Plus - Bloom in Winter, Miracle Sakura, which opened in Japan on March 1, 2008. Already described as a second Nando Demo, the song offers the courage to move forward and a new anthem for graduation season.

The collaboration came about through a direct invitation from One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda. His manga, serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump and popular with children and adults alike, had reached a cumulative circulation of 140 million copies at the time of this release.

The members explain that the film’s theme touched them deeply: the song concerns meeting people, clashing with them, coming to understand them and eventually taking separate paths. The wish to cheer someone on, the sadness of parting and the selfish desire to ask them to stay all meet in the simple words “See you again.”

That feeling fits the bonds between the companions living through the great age of pirates in One Piece. For listeners approaching graduation, its bittersweet lyrics offer the strength to take a new step.

The accompanying CARNAVAL - Subete no Tatakau Hitotachi e was chosen as the image song for the 2010 Yume Hanto Chiba national sports events. Its message reaches beyond athletes and spectators to everyone facing struggles in daily life, with an infectious salsa feel carried by horns and percussion.
