Orient Animation

From Shinobu Ohtaka, creator of Magi, Orient adapts the manga serialised in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine into a battle-action adventure set in a “Neo-Sengoku” world. After the arrival of the Kishin, control of Hinomoto passed from humans to demons. While the population accepts their rule, only the bushi continue to fight. Musashi and Kojiro swear to form the strongest band of warriors and set out to defeat the demons.

The second television arc brings them into the fierce battle for Awaji Island. Having left their hometown, Musashi and Kojiro Kanemaki join forces with Tsugumi Hattori, whom they meet along the way, to form the Kanemaki Bushi. They obtain Kitetsuto, the only weapons capable of killing the demons, and take their first steps toward their dream.

In Harima, they encounter the great Uesugi Bushi, led by Tatsuomi Uesugi. Its objective is to slay the enormous Kishin that has swallowed Awaji Island: the artillery dragon Yamata no Orochi. Naotora Takeda and the Takeda Bushi are there too, alongside young warriors Akihiro Shimazu and Katsumi Amako, and Michiru Saruwatari, a shy princess with an air of otherworldliness.

As competing intentions swirl around them, Musashi and his companions enter the battle. Their opponent is an impregnable Kishin that has never once been wounded. The new struggle will test them with an intensity unlike anything they have faced before.

Volume 6 includes episodes 21–24, an additional creditless version of episode 24 and a promotional-video collection. Permanent inclusions are a newly illustrated anime sleeve, a new manga by Shinobu Ohtaka and Original Soundtrack CD Volume 4, containing twenty-five tracks of the music that colours the series.
