Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Anime

The second decisive battle begins for two people drawn to one another on the battlefield.

The destinies of a witch and a swordsman cross, even though they are enemies. The long-awaited Season II of this fresh boy-meets-girl television anime arrives. The original is the hugely popular light-novel series by Kei Sazane and Ao Nekonabe, published by Fantasia Bunko. The Empire is a mechanised utopia whose science and technology have advanced far. The Nebulis Sovereignty wields the supernatural power of astral arts and is feared as the land of witches. Iska, the Empire's greatest fighting force, and Aliceliese, princess of the Sovereignty and the Ice Calamity Witch, become worthy rivals drawn to one another's lives and ideals through their fierce battles. Yet a destiny that threatens to tear them apart begins to move. The eagerly awaited second season of this heroic fantasy originally began broadcasting in July 2024.

Both volumes were announced with lavish first-production extras, including a newly written story by original author Kei Sazane, a box illustrated by original character designer Ao Nekonabe, a digipak illustrated by character designer Kaori Yoshikawa and a special booklet. These extras depend on the pressing supplied and are not guaranteed.

Story The technologically advanced Empire, a mechanised utopia, and the Nebulis Sovereignty, feared as the land of witches for its supernatural astral arts, have fought a long war.

Iska, the Empire's strongest fighting force, and Aliceliese, princess of the Sovereignty and the Ice Calamity Witch, come to know one another's true selves in fierce battle and become worthy rivals attracted to each other's lives and ideals. After defeating schemes from both nations in the independent state of Alsamira, they part with a promise to meet again. That promise is fulfilled in an unexpected way.

Iska makes a deal with Alice's younger sister Sisbell and infiltrates the Sovereignty as her bodyguard. Alice visits the Sovereignty's city of Liesbaden as part of the search for Sisbell. Their chance reunion makes their feelings burn still more fiercely, but...

At the same time, the Imperial infiltrator Purebred Subject E operates in secret inside the Sovereignty, and the Empire's special operation to capture the queen is about to begin. Can Iska and Alice resist the destiny that threatens to tear them apart?

Contents Episodes 1–6 of Season II, with the creditless opening and creditless ending as regular extras.
