Papa and Daddy's Home Cooking Blu-ray Box

Two single fathers decide to share a home as they learn how to raise their children. Tetsu Sengoku, a short-tempered but warmhearted osteopath, is suddenly entrusted with his daughter Airi by his former girlfriend. Gentle manga editor Masahiro Harumi has divorced and taken custody of his son Seiichiro. Their new household, with two fathers, a daughter and a son, soon discovers how complicated family life and everyday meals can become.

After another rushed morning in which the children barely touch their breakfast, Sengoku meets cooking teacher Yukari Dan at the supermarket. She invites the fathers to a class at her cafe, where they try a homemade curry designed to tempt children who dislike vegetables. While the curry simmers, Sengoku realizes that this is the very cafe where his former girlfriend Maki asked him to look after Airi.

When the fathers collect the children, a teacher reports that Airi has hit her classmate Ken. Unable to get an explanation from his silent daughter, Sengoku scolds her. That evening, Seiichiro insists that Airi was not at fault and asks him to listen properly. Through these misunderstandings and shared meals, the adults and children begin to grow into a family together.

Sou Matsushima and Jin Shirasu lead this adaptation of Yu Toyota's manga, joined by Nozomi Tanahashi, Sakura, Shuto Inomata, Himena Irei, Rio Yamashita and Misako Renbutsu. Goro Ito supplies the music, and timelesz perform the theme song Recipe. The box contains all ten episodes across two main-program Blu-rays and a third Blu-ray with 89 minutes of bonus material: making-of footage, a press interview and the spin-off drama Akutsu no Yume to Ore Recipe. An original booklet completes the three-disc set.
