Persona 3 Animation

Persona 3 The Movie brings together the four theatrical films released from 2013 to 2016.

1. Spring of Birth

Would you believe that a day is not twenty-four hours long? Between one day and the next lies a hidden period called the Dark Hour. The city falls still, people change into objects, and monstrous Shadows roam. Only those who possess the special power of Persona can oppose them. After transferring to Gekkoukan High School, Makoto Yuki awakens to this power and joins the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, a group of fellow Persona users. As they pursue the truth behind the Dark Hour for their own reasons, they face a destiny beyond imagination.

2. Midsummer Knight’s Dream

If only days like these could last forever. At first, Makoto simply followed events after a Shadow attack awakened his Persona and drew him into the squad. As he investigates the Dark Hour and survives desperate battles, his heart begins to change and he forms strong bonds with his companions. Spring gives way to summer. Though the fight against the Shadows is far from over, new members join the group, and their extraordinary daily lives begin to feel fulfilling. None of them knows that the gears of fate are turning towards another trial.

3. Falling Down

Perhaps what you fear is loss. Autumn arrives, and the squad’s battle against the Shadows seems to be approaching its end. They continue fighting to bring the Dark Hour to a close. Some confront the deaths of companions or family, some recognise what they must protect, and others question the meaning of their battles. Then a mysterious transfer student, Ryoji Mochizuki, appears before Makoto. With a new morning, the gears of fate turn again, beginning a struggle over the bonds between them.

4. Winter of Rebirth

The time of destruction is approaching, and it cannot be stopped. Through repeated meetings and farewells, Makoto and his friends have come to know death, look upon it and face it, growing each time. Perhaps they fought for themselves rather than for the world. Even so, they kept going, believing peaceful days awaited them beyond the struggle. Now a boy they considered a friend tells them that destruction is humanity’s unavoidable fate. Winter comes. What decision will Makoto make so that they can welcome the spring beyond it?

The limited box includes each film’s original soundtrack, a newly illustrated slipcase and a special booklet re-edited from those of the individual limited editions. The main and bonus discs reproduce the contents of those earlier limited releases.
