At the time of this album’s release, worldwide shipments had exceeded 96 million and continued to grow. Its then-latest instalment, Final Fantasy XIII, shipped more than one million copies in its first week, becoming an unprecedented PlayStation 3 hit and finding enthusiastic audiences in North America, Europe and Asia.
