Witness a remarkable collaboration

The legendary competitive battle action game Cyber Troopers Virtual-On, featuring giant robots known as Virtuaroids, joins forces with A Certain Magical Index, one of Dengeki Bunko's leading popular novel series.

The high-speed gameplay characteristic of the Virtual-On series evolves further in Academy City, where science and magic coexist. Exciting drama unfolds within this new setting.

A story written by Kazuma Kamachi

The story-mode scenario is entirely newly written by Kazuma Kamachi, the original author of the Index series.

The fully voiced drama continues from the novel A Certain Magical Index x Cyber Troopers Virtual-On: A Certain Magical Virtual-On, released in 2016.

Look forward to the exploits of Touma Kamijou, the distinctive Index characters and their Virtuaroids.

A fourth weapon takes combat into a new dimension

Alongside the three weapons traditionally equipped by Virtuaroids, a fourth weapon, the Voost Weapon, is introduced.

The Voost Weapon amplifies and unleashes the ability of the Index character piloting the robot. On the Virtual-On platform, it takes the ability battles characteristic of the Index series into a new dimension.

The introduction of the new Transition action and a points system also creates a new dimension of combat, different from previous Virtual-On games.

An accomplished creative team

Hajime Katoki, who has designed the mecha throughout the series, renews the Virtuaroids with striking designs. Each receives a dedicated colour scheme matching its Index character, distinctive to this collaboration.

In-game music is composed by Yuzo Koshiro, known for works including 7th Dragon.

The theme song is created by Maiko Iuchi, familiar from the A Certain Magical Index television anime, with a double vocal performance by Yuka Iguchi and Rina Sato.
