A-Train keeps evolving

The next platform for the series' continued evolution is PlayStation, returning after sixteen years.

The latest development of the PC title A-Train 9, or A9, which captivated players with its impressive visual expression, is realised on PlayStation 4.

Alongside the implementation of A9's many functions, this release includes Shinkansen trains from across Japan, from north to south, for the first time in A-Train history. Building a city with that controller comes back to life.

PS VR support lets you experience the world of model railways, including N gauge and HO gauge, through a new VR Railway Model Mode.

The PlayStation 4 edition allows players who could not previously play the PC version to experience the depth of A9's world.

Shinkansen from across Japan included as standard

For the first time in the series, the game includes Shinkansen from across the country as standard.

They include the H5 series of the Hokkaido Shinkansen, whose line opened in March 2016, and trains from the Tohoku, Hokuriku, Tokaido, Sanyo and Kyushu Shinkansen. Enjoy the impressive timetables made possible by this nationwide selection.

Beautiful cityscapes

Shadows cast by the sun, groups of buildings reflected on the water and trees changing into vivid colours bring the city to life.

The city created with this technology is more than beautiful: everything is calculated in real time, dynamically depicting both development and decline.

A rich variety of railways

The game includes an enormous number and variety of trains.

Trains formed from up to ten cars realistically portray the scenery of a city with railways.

From nostalgic trains to the latest models of the time, the selection includes many different trains from across Japan. Enjoy ways of playing such as recreating a particular city.

With up to two hundred train formations owned on a single map, you can also enjoy setting extremely dense timetables.

Expansive maps

A map is large enough to contain almost the entire Yamanote Line.

You can recreate the whole of central Tokyo within a single map.

Create your own city and your own railway network across an expansive area measuring ten kilometres by ten kilometres.

A new sensation: VR Railway Model Mode

PlayStation VR support lets you experience the world of model railways, including N gauge and HO gauge, and the city you have created through VR Railway Model Mode.

You can also play this title without PS VR. Only VR Railway Model Mode supports PS VR.
