Akihabara, vampires and extraordinary battles return

Acquire’s stripping-action adventure AKIBA’S TRIP, originally released for PlayStation Portable in 2011, returned for its tenth anniversary on May 20, 2021, on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. This remaster revisits the beginnings of a hit series that reached 800,000 copies worldwide in 2020. The story features scenario collaboration by Asaura and a main visual by tanu.

The game is an HD remaster of AKIBA’S TRIP PLUS. Its game content is the same as AKIBA’S TRIP PLUS.

Story

The vampires known as Kageyashi, whispered about as an urban legend, really exist in modern Akihabara and have been infiltrating the city.

One night in Akihabara, the protagonist is suddenly attacked by a Kageyashi and left close to death, but a Kageyashi girl saves his life.

This incident draws him into the conflict between the Kageyashi and humans. He throws himself into a battle with his life at stake.

What makes this remaster special

AKIBA’S TRIP First Memory marks ten years since the original AKIBA’S TRIP was released on May 19, 2011.

The streets of 2011 Akihabara return

Fight the Kageyashi, buy items or perhaps show your support at a maid café! As the protagonist, you can run freely through the streets of Akihabara as they were in 2011, recreated on newer consoles.

A unique badge-collecting system

Meet specific conditions during play to obtain title items in the form of pin badges. This provides an additional challenge and collection element distinct from ordinary trophies.

Original 10th Anniversary Edition physical contents

The original anniversary set includes the physical game and three extras. The presence and condition of the extras depend on the individual Used copy.

AKIBA’S 10 YEARS OF MEMORY

A 40-page full-color visual book, comprising four cover pages and 36 interior pages. This official booklet contains newly drawn illustrations by 15 illustrators, including tanu, and a newly written after-story by scenario collaborator Asaura.

AKIBA’S TRIP Official Complete Guide, reprint edition

A complete reproduction of the out-of-print strategy guide for the original AKIBA’S TRIP, with 132 pages: four cover pages and 128 interior pages. The volume is filled with walkthrough and strategy information and includes design drawings from the original development period.

AKIBA’S TRIP 1st Complete Soundtracks

A two-disc soundtrack that covers nearly all of the vocal tracks and background music that bring the game to life, including five vocal songs. It includes the opening theme “Dreamin’” by ClariS and the in-game song “VANITY VAMP” by the sister idol duo Dirty Bloody Princesses: Sena Kitada, voiced by Maaya Uchida, and Maina Kitada, voiced by Eriko Nakamura.
