The definitive DX editions of the Secret series add many new elements, including new stories and playable characters, to its titles from Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout through Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key.

This is the definitive DX edition of Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, adding new playable characters and scenarios.

Atelier Ryza 2 takes place three years after Atelier Ryza.

Ryza and her companions have grown with the passing years. They reunite, encounter new people and eventually face a momentous decision.

Their summer coming-of-age story begins once more.

New playable characters

Empel and Lila, who appeared in the first Atelier Ryza, join as new playable characters, with newly drawn portraits by Toridamono.

Empel Vollmer

Empel taught Ryza alchemy three years earlier.

As before, he continues traveling with Lila.

While exploring ruins around the royal capital, he reunites with Ryza and her friends.

He still cannot resist sweet treats.

Voiced by Hirofumi Nojima.

Lila Decyrus

Lila still continues her travels alongside Empel.

With her mysterious appearance and exceptional combat skills, she once taught Ryza and her friends the fundamentals of fighting.

Calm and composed, she is straightforward and blunt in both her personality and her speech.

Voiced by Haruka Terui.

A new story written by Yashichiro Takahashi, and an additional map

Empel & Lila — a new gate

A new side story follows Empel and Lila as they continue searching for gates to the Underworld.

Following a lead, the two arrive at the royal capital where Ryza and her friends are staying.

They reunite with Ryza and her companions. What will they discover in this new place?

Explore caves and ruins

An additional map lets you explore a cave and ruins.

Custom Combat mode

The new free-battle mode lets you freely choose monsters' levels and combinations before fighting.

Specify monsters' actions, begin with increased gauges, or slow the battle down to admire its sequences and enjoy combat your own way.

Fi supports your adventure

Fi now follows Ryza as she travels around the field map, helping her adventures.

While exploring ruins, Fi expands the area displayed on the Sensor Map, making important clues easier to find.

Fi can also help Ryza and her companions by restoring a little HP after battles.

A wealth of additional content from the original game

Included content features swimsuit costumes, additional recipes and maps, expanded Photo Mode functions, a wide variety of background music, and more.
