Atelier Yumia tells the story of Yumia and her companions as they face their memories and follow the path they believe in, even through uncertainty.

A journey in pursuit of lost history

The Aladissian Empire once flourished on a certain continent. Through alchemy, it achieved a level of development that other nations could not approach. Yet it is said to have met its end when a mysterious cataclysm struck without warning.

Centuries later, alchemy is regarded as a dangerous art that brings destruction. It has become evil, a taboo.

An alchemist steps onto the continent, now a remote and inhospitable land that turns away visitors. Her name is Yumia Liessfeldt.

After losing her mother in an accident three years earlier, Yumia discovered that she came from a family of alchemists. With that discovery came many questions.

Why did Aladiss fall? Why did alchemy become forbidden? Is alchemy truly evil?

Believing that all the answers lie somewhere on the continent, Yumia now begins her journey in search of lost history.

Yumia Liessfeldt — tracing memories to uncover lost truths

Voiced by Wakana Kuramochi, Yumia learned after the accident that her mother had concealed the fact that she was an alchemist. To discover her mother's true intentions and the truth about forbidden alchemy, she joins the Aladiss Research Team.

She treasures her mother's words: “Learn to judge for yourself what is right.” Her partner Flammi stays by her side.

Viktor von Duerer — upholding justice with his iron stake

Voiced by Makoto Furukawa, Viktor is a member of the Aladiss Research Team who accompanies the investigation as Yumia's supervisor. He comes from the influential noble Duerer family and also belongs to a knightly order.

He is honest and has a strong sense of justice, though he can be inflexible. Three years earlier, a large-scale mana disaster in his family's territory brought his household to ruin.

Isla von Duerer — uncompromising about fashion and revenge

Voiced by Kaori Maeda, Isla is a member of the Aladiss Research Team and Viktor's younger sister. Cheerful and energetic, she has excellent communication skills and never forgets her love of fashion, even during investigations.

Her considerate nature also helps her cover the things her brother cannot manage.

Rutger Arendt — an adventurer who laughs at adversity and follows his own path

Voiced by Jun Fukuyama, Rutger is a member of the Aladiss Research Team and an experienced adventurer who loves valuables. An orphan with no family, he survived from day to day by taking dubious jobs in the slums.

His harsh experiences have led him to live by his own principles, without allowing others to tie him down.

A dramatic adventure across a vast open field

Countless mysteries and truths sleep on the ruined continent. Its open fields stretch both across the land and upward, offering a growing variety of scenery and ways to play.

Monsters and harsh environments obstruct Yumia and her companions. Use a variety of actions and items to carve your own way through this unknown territory.

Explore, gather and synthesize

Explore the field and gather materials to synthesize items. The items you create can become keys to advancing the story or help you in battles and exploration.

Synthesis manipulates the mana within ingredients to create new items from recipes. These items demonstrate powerful effects in many situations.

An item's strength depends on the ingredients used to synthesize it. Judge the power of the mana within each material and choose the right ingredients carefully.

Simple Synthesis out in the field

Outside the atelier, you can use Simple Synthesis, which works differently from normal synthesis. Using resources, you can quickly make useful items wherever you are, providing valuable assistance as you explore the demanding continent.

Create exploration tools to open a path forward, or make items that give you an advantage in battle and synthesis.

Real-time battles that test split-second judgment

Combat unfolds in real time and tests your instant decisions. Fight skillfully by using two attack ranges and switching between skills.

Synthesized items change into forms such as swords and spears for attacks. They can be used repeatedly, so unleash them without hesitation and sweep aside the enemies in your way.

Build and customize your own bases

Housing lets you construct bases in locations across the field. Choose a style you like from the catalog and your building is completed in moments. Enjoy building freely and casually, just as you wish.

You can freely rearrange the bases you create. Make and place furniture to design a space to your tastes, or install powerful facilities such as functional modules. Create a base that is uniquely yours and bring even more color to your adventure.
