Balan Wonderworld Square Enix

A completely new wonder action game

Balan Wonderworld is a 3D action game inspired by stage musicals.

It reunites Sonic series creators Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima of Arzest on a jointly developed title for the first time in nearly twenty years.

Using the abilities of the distinctive costumes found throughout its stages, the protagonists explore Wonderworld: a mysterious inner world where real-world memories, landscapes and things that matter to people intermingle.

Twelve stories and more than eighty costumes

Twelve stories await in Wonderworld, each with its own distinctive features. Explore every corner of maze-like stages filled with different mechanisms to draw closer to the heart of each story.

The protagonists can wear the powers of Wonderworld's inhabitants as costumes. There are more than eighty kinds.

Defeat enemies, walk through the air, stop time and operate stage mechanisms... Every new costume opens up more ways to overcome the stages.

Story

This is the Wonderworld of the heart.

The story unfolds in a strange inner world where people's happy memories and positive feelings mingle with unfulfilled concerns, worries and negative emotions.

Led into Wonderworld by the mysterious maestro Balan, a boy named Leo and a girl named Emma set out in search of something important.

They must recover their lost balance of heart so they can return to the real world...

PlayStation 5 upgrade

The original product information states that owners of the PlayStation 4 version can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version at no additional cost.

The original source notes that its screens and videos show a game still in development.
