All the fear is here

Biohazard 7: Resident Evil was originally released in January 2017.

As the first numbered entry developed exclusively for the current console generation at the time, it embraced numerous changes: a complete move to a first-person perspective, the new RE ENGINE, full PlayStation VR support, and new technologies including photogrammetry.

The result brought unprecedented fear and the exhilaration of overcoming it, earning acclaim from game fans around the world.

Having established a new standard for survival horror, Biohazard 7 returns as Gold Edition, including all of the separately sold DLC and a new DLC story that serves as an epilogue.

Experience the many tragedies that took place in the Baker mansion in this single release.

Included content

Biohazard 7: Resident Evil Gold Edition Grotesque Version includes the main game and three downloadable-content packs: Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2, and End of Zoe.

Biohazard 7: Resident Evil main game

The new first-person perspective introduced in Biohazard 7 is called Isolated View.

Combined with the RE ENGINE’s ability to render even the details of the surrounding atmosphere, it creates such immersion that the tragedy unfolding on the screen feels as though it is happening to you.

That is how the game faithfully realises survival horror’s core of overwhelming fear and the catharsis of overcoming it, at a quality never achieved before.

Banned Footage

Each Banned Footage pack contains two incidents, or pieces of footage, not told in the main game, together with one extra game that offers a different flavour from the main story.

Reliving the records left by victims who failed to escape the Baker mansion should deepen your experience of the main game.

Banned Footage Vol. 1 contains the footage episodes Bedroom and Nightmare, and the extra game Ethan Must Die.

Banned Footage Vol. 2 contains the footage episodes Daughters and 21, and the extra game Jack’s 55th Birthday.

End of Zoe

This story comes last in the chronology of the Biohazard 7 world.

Zoe is the mysterious woman who guides Ethan. Where will her fate lead?

Will the tragedy of the Baker family finally come to an end?

Free additional downloadable content: Not a Hero

The original announcement offered this free episode to every Biohazard 7 player. Chris Redfield takes on the task of bringing the incident under control.

The reformed Umbrella organisation has learned of plans to develop a new biological weapon and information about bioterrorism. To resolve the incident swiftly, it devises an operation.

Command falls to the battle-hardened Chris Redfield, invited from the BSAA.

The story of Not a Hero begins at the climax of the Biohazard 7 main game.

Unlike Ethan’s nightmare, in which an ordinary civilian is caught up in the incident, this episode follows a professional entering a dangerous situation. It depicts survival horror with a different kind of fear and a shooter flavour.

The original announcement stated that Not a Hero would be distributed free so that every Biohazard 7 player could witness the incident’s conclusion.

Its announced release date was December 14, 2017. Downloading Not a Hero required a PlayStation Network connection and the Biohazard 7 main game.

Original player specification: one player.

CERO Z: adults only

The content of this game restricts its sale to people aged eighteen or over. Purchases by anyone under eighteen are not accepted.
