This threat is alive

City Shrouded in Shadow is a new approach to science-fiction survival action adventure, created through the partnership of Bandai Namco Entertainment and Granzella.

Giant monsters and enormous creatures appearing in the city bring overwhelming threats. Giant shadows from the Ultraman series, Rebuild of Evangelion, Gamera, Mobile Police Patlabor and Godzilla appear.

You play a single human being making their way through living threats on a scale far beyond humanity.

A meticulously realised city beneath giant shadows

Neon signs illuminate the night streets alongside building lights, convenience stores and the bustle of people walking through the city.

Enormous shadows approach a city recreated down to its smallest details. Peace, daily life and familiar streets are swallowed by their presence.

Before your eyes unfold powerful battles on an overwhelming scale and one-sided devastation. Every movement of a giant or monster spreads an immeasurable threat through the city.

How can an ordinary person without special powers survive this desperate danger?

Two giants appear

Two giants suddenly appear in the city. One destroys buildings and engulfs the streets in flames.

The other arrives with light and fights to protect the city and its people.

The fourth Angel threatens humanity

Evangelion Unit-01 appears above ground and confronts the Angel with a massive Gatling gun.

An invasion from space

A huge plant-like growth takes root in a building. Soldier Legion emerge from underground and begin attacking people.

Gamera descends from the sky to oppose the invasion from space.

Escape from the King of the Monsters

As the protagonists travel aboard an exploration vessel, the King of the Monsters appears before them in an enormous spray of water.

With no way to fight back, they must escape from the violently swaying ship.

A Labor crime and a sudden rescue

Suspicious men operating behind the scenes cause a Labor crime.

As danger closes in on the protagonists, the Metropolitan Police Department’s Labor, Ingram Unit 1, crashes through the glass.

Your choices shape the drama

The drama experienced by the protagonists changes with your choices. What will you choose in order to live?

Holding a flashlight, the protagonist moves through darkness with the heroine, slipping past the many Soldier Legion lying in wait as they try to reach the surface.

Godzilla and King Ghidorah clash in the city at night. Beams flash and buildings are engulfed in fire as the protagonists race through the chaos on a motorcycle.

The alien Zarab lays waste to the city. People can do nothing before the overwhelming destruction, and the fierce assault drives the protagonist into a corner.

An ordinary person caught in extraordinary danger

The protagonist lives in the city where the story takes place. On a rainy night, after seeing a mysterious flash, they encounter a succession of enormous shadows.

After accidentally witnessing a transaction, the protagonist is relentlessly targeted by mysterious men who want to take their life.

This is not a hero’s story. It is your story.

The protagonist is neither a hero with special powers nor a champion burdened by a great mission, but an ordinary person you could meet anywhere.

They and their companions pursue their aims while sometimes cooperating and sometimes opposing one another as merciless, desperate threats approach.

Choices, encounters and the lives of the city’s people

Choose a male or female protagonist. Wear costumes and accessories obtained as you progress through the story to change your health and stamina.

Numerous responses to your choices, reminiscent of the Disaster Report series, add colour to the drama.
