PlayStation 4 Conception Plus: Maidens of the Twelve Stars

Conception is reborn

Originally released for PlayStation Portable in 2012, Conception comes to PlayStation 4 as Conception Plus. The RPG in which you create Star Children with twelve Star Maidens and fight alongside those children returns with enhanced graphics, improvements to some presentation elements and new content.

Create Star Children and save a world covered in Impurities

Itsuki Yuge is summoned as a visitor from another world, known as God's Gift, to save the endangered magical world of Granvania.

Only God's Gift and the Star Children born from him and the maidens of the twelve constellations can banish the evil energy called Impurities that covers the world.

To save the world, enter the Stardust Labyrinths beneath the great temple together with the Star Children and purify those Impurities.

A labyrinth that changes each time

The Stardust Labyrinths are filled with Impurities and traps. Their layouts change every time you enter, making them enjoyable to explore again and again.

Reach the deepest part of each labyrinth, make the required celestial offering and cleanse the Impurities.

Large-scale battles with up to thirteen allies

Battles against Impurities bring together the protagonist and Star Children in a party of up to thirteen. Attack from positions behind enemies or from directions that target their weaknesses to gain an advantage.

The more Star Children you bring, the more spectacular and strategic the fighting becomes. The positioning battle system makes tactical placement important, and different party combinations also change your parameters and skills.

Form teams of four Star Children

Star Children act in teams of four. Three teams, totaling twelve Star Children, can take part in combat alongside God's Gift.

Each team must contain four Star Children. If you have only seven, for example, you can form just one team. Gather twelve as soon as you can and challenge the labyrinths with three teams.

During battle, you can attack an enemy from four directions. Most enemies have a weakness to attacks from a particular direction.

Deepen your bonds with the Star Maidens

The power of your bonds with the maidens is needed to create stronger Star Children. Communicate with them through school life and deepen those bonds.

As your relationships grow closer, each maiden's hidden past and secrets may come to light.

The Classmating ritual

In the Classmating ritual, Itsuki and a Star Maiden pour their souls into a Matryoshka to create a Star Child.

The abilities of the resulting Star Child vary according to the strength of the bond with the maiden and the type of Matryoshka used.

Each maiden tends to produce Star Children with different parameters, so choosing a different ritual partner according to the class you want is also necessary. Deepen those bonds and perform the ritual to create your strongest Star Children.

New elements in the PlayStation 4 version

New episodes introduce a thirteenth maiden, the Star Maiden of Ophiuchus.

The heroines' 3D models and the rest of the game's visuals are presented in higher quality. Game-balance adjustments and changes to Mahiru's personality provide something to enjoy even if you have already played the PSP version.

Demo progress and save-data transfer

The original demo lets you play from the opening until defeating the mid-boss of the first labyrinth. Within that range, you can meet all twelve maidens, explore the labyrinth and try the Classmating ritual.

Demo save data can be transferred to the full game. Its data-linked rewards are five Star Drops and five Bond Fragments while playing the demo, followed on transferring the save by three each of seven Matryoshka types and one Star Matryoshka.

Physical soundtrack extra

The physical extra originally offered at launch was the Rebirth original soundtrack, containing twenty-eight tracks, including game music and the opening and ending themes, with approximately seventy-four minutes of music. Its presence with a Used copy depends on that copy's contents.
