They shed tears for their friends, rather than their own tragic fate

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, the game that tells the story preceding Final Fantasy VII, evolves beyond a simple HD remaster.

Alongside HD graphics throughout, improvements to the battle system, full voice acting and other new elements bring this moving story vividly back to life.

Zack Fair's story, beyond an HD remaster

All 3D models have been renewed, from the characters to their surroundings. Full voice acting and newly arranged music portray the turbulent story more vividly.

The protagonist is Zack Fair, a young man admired by the boy who will eventually save the world, trusted by a legendary hero, and loved by the girl who holds the planet's fate in her hands.

The grand story tells everything about the dreams and pride he passed on to Cloud, evolving far beyond an ordinary HD remaster.

Seven years before Final Fantasy VII

The story begins seven years before the events of Final Fantasy VII.

Shinra, a company with enormous military power and influence, is based in the mako city of Midgar.

Shinra has an organization of soldiers with exceptional combat abilities known as SOLDIER. Zack belongs to it as a SOLDIER 2nd Class.

Alongside his senior, SOLDIER 1st Class Angeal, and Sephiroth, the hero whose name is renowned throughout the world, Zack investigates a case in which large numbers of SOLDIER members have disappeared.
