The goddesses start playing online

Neptune and her friends are chosen as beta testers for an online game called Four Goddesses Online. Its setting is Alsgard, a fantasy world surrounded by greenery and seas, with the great world tree Yggdrasil towering above it.

Encounters within this virtual world create the story of a new Neptunia experience. The original announcement described a series with approximately 500,000 cumulative sales. Unreal Engine 4 brings a new approach to visual expression.

A new fantasy world

This adventure takes place inside Four Goddesses Online rather than in Gamindustri. The popular online game is a favorite of Vert, the goddess of Leanbox.

Characters retain their established personalities while the setting, costumes, visual style and battle presentation are refreshed for a fantasy world. Familiar characters and many newcomers enliven the story. The winged goddess forms appear as separate characters and can also be controlled.

Action RPG battles and cooperative play

The original manufacturer presentation introduces the series’ first action RPG, with simple controls that welcome players who struggle with action games. Battles emphasize positioning, strategy and technique.

Form a party of up to four characters online or offline. With online communication, up to four players can cooperate in quest battles. Multiplayer-exclusive quests feature powerful enemies that must be overcome together.

In single-player mode, other party characters are controlled by AI, creating a simulated multiplayer experience. The party leader is the character you control; companions move automatically, letting you concentrate on battle. Different characters offer distinct handling.

Brisk, seamless combat

Attack a monster in a dungeon to begin battle seamlessly. Some aggressive monsters attack as you approach, so take care and move away if you sense danger.

Attacks link together with one button, making combat accessible even for players less confident with action games. Combine each character’s learned skills to discover a fighting style of your own.

Spectacular Awakening Skills

These powerful special attacks feature an individual cinematic presentation for each character and can greatly reduce enemy health.

Give your party tactical instructions

Set a strategy and your companions act according to your orders. Switch commands to suit the situation, asking them to prioritize survival when you need healing or go all out with attacks when you want to overwhelm the enemy.

Coordinate character appearances

Change costumes and hair color, and add accessories. Fine adjustments to accessory position and size, and the ability to add movement, allow many different forms of expression. View mode lets you look at characters from various angles.
