PlayStation 4 DoDonPachi DaiOuJou Rinne Tensei

Face the challenge—and survive!

The pinnacle of bullet-hell shooting is reincarnated here and now.

DoDonPachi DaiOuJou, the arcade shooter released in game centres in 2002, returns under the M2 ShotTriggers brand. This complete revival faithfully reproduces the arcade game, includes its alternate Black Label version and adds a host of new features.

Still enduringly popular as one of bullet-hell shooting's finest titles, DoDonPachi DaiOuJou is reborn in the Reiwa era with a substantial package: high porting accuracy, new visuals and sound, extensive support features and the later arcade Black Label version.

What is DoDonPachi DaiOuJou?

A vertically scrolling shooter that began operating in arcades in 2002, it is the second entry in Cave's DoDonPachi series. It introduced the exhilarating Hyper System and the Element Dolls that strengthen your craft.

Both arcade versions, faithfully recreated

The early arcade version, commonly known as White, and the later Black Label version, commonly known as Black, are both included.

The small differences and specifications of the two versions are reproduced!

An arcade port with something extra

Alongside the original arcade presentation, you can select newly recorded stereo sound and new visuals drawn by DoDonPachi DaiOuJou's original illustrator, Junya Inoue.

Support for defeating the true boss, Hibachi

The support features familiar from the M2 ShotTriggers series return to help you conquer this demanding game.

Super Easy Mode offers a casual difficulty level, making it accessible even if this is your first time playing.

Once you are familiar with the game, practise difficult sections with Arcade Challenge, which lets you repeatedly focus on a specified area. Arcade Review lets you revisit the places where you made mistakes. Aim to clear the entire arcade game!

M2 Gadgets display a variety of information outside the playfield, providing further support for your strategy.

Convenient features and detailed settings

Online rankings and replay downloads are supported.

Quick save and quick load functions are included, along with support for vertical monitor display and settings that let you customise the game in detail.

Original physical strategy guide

The original package release offered a strategy booklet by active top players, covering how to clear one loop of Arcade Mode. The publisher identifies it as the 24-page DoDonPachi Daijoubu: DoDonPachi DaiOuJou Rinne Tensei Strategy Guide.

For this Used edition, the presence and condition of the strategy guide, packaging and other physical accessories depend on the individual item.
