Humanity, survive a future of despair

The year is 2024. Humanity has won its long war against unknown invaders. The enemy Primers have departed, and silence has returned to Earth.

But the population has fallen to just one tenth, and the world faces collapse. The survivors work desperately to rebuild while continuing to fight the remaining threats.

Three years pass, bringing the world to 2027. In this new world without hope, the time has come once again to defy Earth's fate.

The true identity of the invaders who have tormented Earth for so long is finally revealed. For the first time in the series, the setting is a devastated world, where an unrelenting chain of profound despair closes in.

The series' largest volume of content at launch

The game was introduced with more missions, weapons, and military equipment than any previous entry in the series.

Every mission supports online cooperative play for up to four players. Offline cooperative play through split screen is also available. Take command of the four soldier classes and fight alongside real EDF members across Japan.

The PlayStation 4 edition supports an upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version.
