With a scenario by Tadashi Satomi, development by Natsume Atari, and supervision by Rabbit & Bear Studios, the studio planning and developing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is an action RPG with town revitalization elements. It serves as a prequel to the major RPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which was originally announced for release in 2023.

Character designs are by Rabbit & Bear Studios' Junko Kawano, who also designs the characters for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

Connections to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

The rune-lenses and raw lenses sought by Rising's three main characters—CJ, Isha and Garoo—are items central to the world of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

Tadashi Satomi's scenario is filled with connections to Hundred Heroes, and characters from that game also appear in Rising's story.

The names you give to the local specialty product and to all three protagonists' weapons carry over to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

At the time of the original announcement, small perks in Hundred Heroes for players of Rising were also being planned. Look forward to the connections between the two adventures!

Story

New Nevaeh, a small town on the outskirts of the continent of Allraan, was a quiet, declining rural settlement that earned a modest income from mining ore.

Then, a few months ago, an earthquake revealed ancient ruins beneath the town. Adventurers and merchants from around the world gathered in the hope of striking it rich, and a sudden treasure rush brought the town back to life.

CJ is a girl from a clan that has worked as scavengers—raiders of ancient ruins—for generations. She visits the town to excavate raw lenses and rune-lenses, sources of magic hidden in the ancient ruins.

To have the expensive excavation-rights fee waived by Isha, New Nevaeh's young acting mayor, CJ first has to help the townspeople...

There she meets Garoo, a beastman mercenary. Sharing the goal of excavating lenses from the ruins, the two join forces.

Exhilarating action with simple controls

Even players unfamiliar with action games can enjoy Rising's exhilarating action by quickly switching between its three playable characters: CJ, Garoo and Isha.

Performing Link Attacks, combo attacks that combine each character's special abilities, is incredibly easy too. Give it a try and enjoy the adventure!

Original physical extras

The original release included one character card each for CJ, Isha and Garoo, for a total of three cards.

The original first-release external bonus was a soundtrack CD with 20 tracks and a total running time of 45 minutes. Rakuten Books also originally offered an exclusive logo sticker; both bonus offers have ended.

For this Used copy, the presence of the character cards, soundtrack CD and sticker depends on the individual copy.
