Fighting that puts national prestige on the line eventually leads to world war...

This installment in the Gendai Daisenryaku series includes 39 scenarios set in regions where confrontation between states and civil war produce unending turmoil: nuclear tests and ballistic missile development by dictatorships, maritime expansion by continental powers, and the situation in countries rich in fuel resources.

A turn-based strategy simulation of modern warfare

Scenarios reflect the international situation and current affairs at the time of the game's release, while modern weapons in use around the world let you command realistic contemporary battlefields.

After the Second World War, the greatest conflict in human history, the United Nations was established around the victorious powers. Yet great-power maneuvering split the world between East and West, brought the danger of a Third World War, and sparked conflicts over resources in emerging countries.

A world shaped by the national strategies of individual countries becomes entangled in a chilling power struggle.

What if a dictatorship launches ballistic missiles? What if a huge continental country occupies islands far out at sea? Enjoy 39 tense scenarios inspired by international situations that could plausibly become reality.

Intervene in conflicts around the world

As commander of a private military company, or PMC—the modern equivalent of a mercenary force—you accept assignments from around the globe and intervene in regional conflicts and confrontations between states.

Use the rewards from those assignments to strengthen your base, buy and research weapons, and hire officers, developing an army of your own.

The weapons you acquire and officers you employ grow through repeated battles, leveling up and showing their capabilities across the battlefield.

Beautiful maps and powerful battle scenes

Visual maps faithfully reproduce real terrain to create clear, colorful battlefields.

Three-dimensional battle graphics deliver the Gendai Daisenryaku series' most immersive presentation at the time of release. Approximately 700 different weapon types engage in spectacular Real Fight battles.

An example scenario

On a certain day in 20XX, naval infantry of Country C, disguised aboard fishing boats and other vessels, conduct assault landings on the SK Islands and IG, MY, IR, SJ and TR islands. Airborne and special forces are also deployed, swiftly occupying them.

Country C's military converts several airports, including SJ Island Airport, into air bases, reinforcing them with fighter aircraft, anti-ship missiles and anti-aircraft weapons. Surface-to-surface ballistic missiles also appear to have been landed.

To support these forces, the main strength of Country C's regular navy's combined Yellow Sea and East Sea fleets deploys to the surrounding waters. Part of that force advances toward KM Island and OK's main island.

The main forces of Country A stationed in Country J are currently committed to a war in the Middle East, leaving OK's defenses extremely thin.

Approximately 700 types of weapons

After the Second World War shifted the battlefield's principal actors from people to weapons, countries continued developing increasingly advanced technology, including tanks, fighter aircraft and Aegis ships.

Alongside the F-22 Raptor fighter, new stealth weapons representing the next generation appear, including Zumwalt-class guided-missile destroyers and the Armata T-14 tank.

With 22 new weapons added, both contemporary systems and specialist enthusiasts' favorites take to the battlefield.

Weapons development improves performance

At your base's laboratory, research the weapons you own.

Research consumes units and requires military funding, increasing the weapon's development percentage.

When that percentage reaches 100%, the weapon's grade increases and its performance improves.

Further grade increases make the weapon more powerful, allowing you to keep your favorites in use on the front line.

Officers support the front line

The barracks at your base let you choose and hire from a large selection of officers. Assign the officers you hire to units you own.

Each officer has individual weapon aptitudes and skills. Depending on the assigned unit, an officer can greatly increase its fighting strength.

Officers gain experience through combat and may level up, enabling them to contribute more on the battlefield.

These indispensable supporters of the front line can also accumulate fatigue during combat, sometimes requiring rest at the medical facility.

How effectively you make use of your officers tests your command skills. Approximately 400 officers participate in this installment.

A tutorial for newcomers to strategy simulations

The tutorial lets you learn the controls while playing. Even beginners can readily learn the game's operation and the rules of Gendai Daisenryaku.
