This instalment of the God Wars tactical RPG series is set in ancient Japan, where heroes inspired by mythology and folk tales play their part.

God Wars: Future Past earned acclaim in Japan and overseas for its distinctive world and deep strategy. This version adds many new elements and extensive improvements to playability, creating a definitive tactical RPG.

A distinctive world inspired by Japanese mythology

The setting draws on the Kojiki, Japanese mythology and folk tales to portray ancient Japan in a unique way.

Develop characters by combining jobs and skills, and fight fully fledged tactical battles on terrain with differences in elevation.

Character designs are by Taro Minoboshi, and monster designs by Sawaki Takeyasu.

Five new playable characters

Momotaro, the prince of Hyuga who appeared as Kaguya's rival in the previous game, and his loyal companions Inu, Saru and Kiji become playable at last.

Orihime, a young shrine maiden who supports Kaguya and her companions, also joins as a new character exclusive to this version. Orihime is voiced by Yu Serizawa.

These five new playable characters expand the range of strategic possibilities.

More than 150 hours of content

All stages from the previous game are included, together with the new Labyrinth of Yomi scenario, whose substantial volume exceeds the main story, the two additional scenarios The Future of Hyuga and A New Enemy, and the additional quest Orihime's Request.

Playing through every stage takes more than 150 hours, with a substantial amount of content and challenging stages.

A new scenario reveals Kaguya's true mission

Alongside the main scenario Future Past and the additional scenarios The Future of Hyuga and A New Enemy, Labyrinth of Yomi reveals the previously untold past and destiny of Kaguya's party.

A multiple-ending system branches according to the player's actions. At the deepest point of the dungeon, where formidable enemies await, a true ending reveals the mission entrusted to the three sisters.

Thoroughly improved playability

Responding to player feedback following the previous game's release, playability has been extensively refined with attention to small details.

Faster battles, higher level limits for characters and skills, and an increased number of deployable characters provide deeper, more comfortable tactical battles.
