Now, the girls begin to run towards their dream

Created for The Idolmaster's 15th anniversary, The Idolmaster Starlit Season brings together Project Luminous, a joint unit spanning four branches of the series. A group assembled to energise the idol world takes on its largest festival in a completely new story.

As their producer, you develop the idols and share the many joys and hardships of their lives. Together with these richly individual personalities, you work towards the common goal of becoming top idols. That is the idol production experience of The Idolmaster.

Here, idols from different agencies unite beyond the boundaries of their offices: 13 from The Idolmaster, five each from Cinderella Girls, Million Live! and Shiny Colors, plus one new idol, for a total of 29.

Set around the new major event Starlit Season, this console entry becomes an idol project production game.

A new long-form story for a special unit

Starlit Season is an idol-unit selection event held to determine who will perform at the opening of the Starlit Dome.

You are a producer at the entertainment agency 765 Production, returning to Japan after training overseas. Back at the office, you reunite with president Junjiro Takagi. He tells you that he wants to enter a special unit assembled from several agencies in the new major idol event.

Takagi has already approached several offices, and all have responded positively. Almost as soon as you return, he formally appoints you as the special unit's producer.

Through direct conversations with idols from each agency, the special unit gradually takes shape. During this process, you encounter a girl named Kohaku Okuzora.

You manage to recruit her, but this meeting will have a profound effect on the special unit's fate.

With all 29 members gathered, guided by the moonlight, preparations are complete for Starlit Season, a dream collaboration spanning spring, summer, autumn and winter. Project Luminous, uniting many different idols and their producer, now begins.

The ultimate visual presentation of idols

For the first time in the console Idolmaster series, the game uses Unreal Engine. Its appearance has been renewed to convey a striking sense of presence and immersive staging.

Light, the atmosphere and even the sweat of a live performance bring the idols to life with an emotionally expressive presentation.

Produce a major idol project

Manage the members' schedules towards your goal, using repeated lessons and promotional work to develop their abilities. Skills earned through your everyday production activities help make the stage shine even more brightly.

Communication scenes across agencies

Communication scenes woven together by idols from different agencies create a dream collaboration. One-on-one conversations are also important: build bonds with the idols and draw out their potential.

Evolved live performances

Coordinate the participating members, stage costumes and songs. Appeal to the audience with well-timed actions that follow the rhythm of the music.

Win through live shows, auditions and festivals to increase your fans. Some well-known songs offer collaborative vocal performances, alongside Project Luminous's new songs.
