Sortie with real-time strategy

September 1992. Tokyo comes under an all-out attack by an organization called Kyomu.

This marks the beginning of the incident later named the “Tokyo Lost Life Phenomenon”...

Midori Oribe, who works as a nursery teacher, is fleeing through the devastated streets of Tokyo with the children.

During their escape, however, she loses consciousness. When she wakes up, the children are nowhere to be seen.

To search for them, Midori climbs into the upper seat of Nanatsu, a Jinki machine that was on display in a museum. It does not move as she expects.

“Could it be... the lower seat...!”

“Exactly. This one's an old model. It won't move with just someone in the upper seat.”

The person who appears is Ryohei Ogawara. He climbs into Nanatsu's lower seat and starts it up.

Midori thinks she will now be able to search for the children. Immediately afterward, however, Kyomu's Jinki machine Bargoyle attacks, drawing her into battle without any choice in the matter.

“If there's something you want to protect... show me you can protect it with your own strength!!”

Although bewildered by the situation she finds herself in, Ryohei's words strengthen Midori's resolve. She throws herself into the battle to reclaim occupied Tokyo...
