Story
Aegis is said to be the shield that drives away all evil.
The organization to which Shuji Kisaragi belongs, Aegis, has two faces. Publicly, it is a security company serving a wide range of clients, from private households to leading companies. Behind the scenes, it operates as a bodyguard organization that protects its targets even if doing so sometimes requires illegal methods.
Shuji Kisaragi, a new agent in the Special VIP Protection Division, is a rising talent who has successfully protected numerous VIPs thanks to athletic abilities unimaginable from his small frame.
His next assignment, however, is absurd: “Disguise yourself as a girl, infiltrate an all-girls boarding school, and protect the targets while living as a female student.”
“That's impossible! I mean, I can't! I'm a man!”
His superior gently pats the panicking Shuji on the shoulder.
“Don't worry, I'm sure you can do it. You're so cute, after all. There, there.”
Besides his small build, Shuji has an androgynous face and a high voice. At a glance, he could pass for a tomboyish girl.
Aegis forces the reluctant Shuji into the field. There, he meets the girls he is assigned to protect.
His true identity must never be exposed. No one must ever realize that he is a man. And he must protect his targets to the very end.
Infiltrating the academy as the female student Taeko Yamada, Shuji finds himself in a forbidden garden of flowers: a dazzling world entirely filled with girls.
Other bodyguards have already infiltrated the academy, and enemy agents mingle among them. Every day at the school is filled with suspense.
Between the school festival and cooking classes, Shuji lives the everyday life of a female student. Putting his all into his disguise each day, he continues to watch over the girls entrusted to his protection.
Will he be able to keep them safe? The strange school life shared by Shuji Kisaragi and these girls is about to begin.
Characters
Shuji Kisaragi / Taeko Yamada
A new agent in the Special VIP Protection Division, the secret face of the security company Aegis.
His abilities still leave room for improvement, but he excels at adapting to the situation using whatever is available around him. His weakness is his lack of experience around women.
An orphan with no family, he regards the division chief at Aegis as a father figure and his colleagues as his family.
“Actually, this whole mission is impossible for meee!”
Yukino Kasugazaki
The academy's student council president and the object of every girl's admiration. When someone says “Onee-sama,” they mean her.
She is caring and has a strong sense of responsibility, but she is also very haughty and domineering, always brimming with confidence.
Convinced that the protagonist is an ignorant country girl, she appoints herself to the task of raising her into a lady worthy of graduating from the academy.
“Taeko, your language is rather rough.”
Ren Tsubakihara
An extraordinarily athletic girl who oversees all the academy's sports clubs. She is the academy's very own “Oscar-sama” and is in the same class as Shuji.
She acts like a lady in front of the teachers, but switches immediately to a casual way of speaking when she is alone with people she knows well.
Seeing the protagonist as an unreliable country girl, she decides that she needs protecting and tries to look after her.
“It's all right. If anything happens, I'll back you up.”
Marina Shinjo
The academy's mascot, adored by everyone. In reality, however, she is putting on an innocent act.
Her true self is a mischievous schemer, a side known only to a very small number of people.
As the chairman's granddaughter, she does whatever she pleases. Yet her behavior is also a cry for attention born from the loneliness of having no parents.
She sees the protagonist as a country girl who is easy to tease and begins bothering her in all sorts of ways.
“There's nothing Marina can't do!”
