Survive a battlefield controlled by the enemy

Will you live—or be kept alive?

Prologue

December, 2127. The Republic of Garmoniya, near the Black Sea, suddenly declares war on the neighboring Republic of Ruthenia and begins its invasion of the border town of Novo Slava.

Caught by surprise, the Ruthenian defensive forces collapse. The battle seems to be over in an instant.

Yet alongside it, the struggle for survival of those left behind in the devastation is only just beginning.

Survival action in the world of Front Mission

Three protagonists are stranded in a city turned battlefield. They fight to survive and to accomplish their own goals in this survival action game, which inherits the world of the Front Mission series.

Supplies, including ammunition, are limited. Taking on large numbers of enemies head-on is extremely difficult. Choose routes that avoid the enemy, use traps and approach each encounter strategically in this demanding game.

What lies behind Garmoniya's sudden invasion of Ruthenia? Shadows of a conspiracy appear and disappear along the three characters' paths.

Infiltration, traps and many other approaches offer alternatives to gunfights. Your choices also affect elements beyond combat.

Three protagonists

Mikhail Alexandrovich Shuvalov

A Wanzer pilot in the Ruthenian Army's Second Mobile Platoon, Mikhail is inexperienced but highly regarded for his basic piloting abilities. His frequent minor disciplinary violations, however, often make him a troublemaker in the eyes of the military.

When Garmoniya attacks, he helps defend Novo Slava. His unit encounters a Wanzer force believed to be the enemy's main strength and suffers devastating losses. His own machine is badly damaged.

He barely manages to escape from its cockpit, only to find no friendly soldiers around him. He is isolated.

Olga Sergeyevna Kalinina

Olga is an officer in Novo Slava's city police. Previously a Wanzer pilot in the Garmoniyan military, she lost her only daughter during an armed clash between soldiers and civilians associated with the Novo Slava liberation movement. That loss led her to leave the military.

When Ruthenia annexed Novo Slava, she acquired Ruthenian citizenship and subsequently became a police officer.

She demonstrates considerable ability and works tirelessly to improve public safety, although some criticize her habit of acting alone on her own judgment. She is investigating the human trafficking cases occurring frequently in the city.

Leonid Fyodorovich Osterman

A former senior member of Novo Slava's NGFP liberation group, Leonid began as a mercenary hired as a bodyguard when the group's armed struggle intensified.

Over time, he came to sympathize with its ideals and became a central member responsible for coordinating the armed campaign.

When the group's leader was later assassinated, Leonid was arrested as the killer and sentenced to death. He consistently denied the crime, and his motive remained unclear, but several pieces of physical evidence determined the verdict.

Officially, his sentence has already been carried out and he is dead. In reality, he remains imprisoned until the fighting in Novo Slava gives him a chance to escape. He knows neither how he was framed nor why he has been kept alive.

Wanzers and the Volk

The Volk is a new Wanzer secretly manufactured in Novo Slava. Its variable armor mechanisms and other design features differ from earlier Wanzers, suggesting an experimental machine intended for next-generation standards.

Wanzer is the general term for humanoid mobile weapons built to the global MULS-P standard. Short for Wander Panzer, and also called WAP, these machines use standardized components and weapons. Their versatility and operational capability have made them widespread.

Arm weapons

The arms primarily carry versatile weapons such as Gatling guns and shotguns. Ammunition for Wanzer weapons cannot be replenished, so once a weapon is empty, it must be replaced.

You can change arm weapons by picking up equipment sometimes dropped by destroyed enemy machines. Some are melee weapons.

Shoulder weapons

Unlike arm weapons, shoulder equipment cannot be exchanged. The shoulders often mount powerful weapons such as bazookas and missile launchers.

Roller dash and step

Wanzers are poorly suited to moving on foot, but roller dash lets them travel at high speed. Colliding with an enemy machine during a roller dash performs a tackle attack.

The step move instantly covers a short distance and helps evade enemy attacks.

Choices under pressure

Throughout the game, you repeatedly choose dialogue and actions. Each decision matters and changes what happens next.

Some dialogue choices can determine whether another character lives or dies. Certain decisions also have a time limit, requiring you to think carefully and quickly.

Crafting

Crafting consumes resources to make items. On a battlefield where ammunition is scarce, making the most of limited combat resources is the key to survival.

Create and use throwable items such as Molotov cocktails and traps such as mines. Your inventory has a weight limit, however. Once you exceed it, you cannot pick up anything else, so you must decide what to craft and what to leave behind.

Koshka

The AI Koshka supports all three protagonists. Besides maintaining maps and other data, it describes battlefield conditions and destinations, and can estimate where weapons are located.

A small, charming cat appears beside its name, KOSHKA, the Russian word for cat.

Use the map to find a way through

Koshka continually displays your next objectives and destinations on the map, alongside many other details that help you choose a route.

There is never just one way to reach a destination. Slip past enemy attention along the shortest route, find a comparatively safe detour, or explore repeatedly to gather as many materials as possible. The choice is yours.

Using every available piece of information and object to open a path through an enemy-filled field lies at the heart of the experience.

Side quests

The city contains civilians unable to evacuate and others who have chosen to remain for their own reasons. Saving as many as possible is another mission presented to you.

Whether to spend your limited supplies helping them or to abandon them is your decision.

Network features

The game's described network features allow the map to display a heat map showing where other players died. Locations with many deaths suggest danger and may be safer to avoid.

When connected, a limited number of fallen players' bodies can also appear at their death locations. They may hold rare items. Decide whether to risk seeking those supplies or avoid the area, considering your stage progress and the materials and items you already carry. These features depend on a working network connection and the availability of the game's online services.
