PlayStation 4 LOOP8: Summer of Gods

This world is a succession of choices

LOOP8: Summer of Gods is a coming-of-age RPG set in Ashihara Nakatsu, a nostalgic town in the Japanese countryside. The protagonist, Nini, repeats the month of August while fighting alongside his companions against the Kegai, a calamity that threatens humanity.

Live the everyday; fight the extraordinary

As Nini, you spend the month of August 1983 with your companions in a charming, old-fashioned rural town.

The story progresses by alternating between everyday-life sections, in which you enjoy life in town and at school, and extraordinary sections, in which you confront your enemies.

Characters with living emotions

The game's unique emotional AI, the Karel System, constantly changes the characters' feelings and relationships.

As a result, the events and dialogue that occur differ from player to player, allowing you to experience a summer that is quite literally your own.

Like real people, the characters change what they say and do according to the atmosphere around them, their desires and their relationships with others.

Events that change with every playthrough

The events that occur change according to the relationships between the characters present, as well as the location and time.

The relationships you build become your strength

Your strength in battle is determined by the relationships you have built, rather than by levels.

Your companions act according to their own feelings and their relationships with the other characters.

Your everyday actions and choices have a major influence on the battles against the Kegai.

I crossed countless loops to come and save you

After repeating the loop again and again, what kind of end to summer will you finally reach?

An August belonging only to you, woven from your choices, is about to begin.
