The Mega Man Battle Network series combines the strategy of card battles with the fun of action in a data-action RPG.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection brings together ten titles spanning the six numbered games, with a wealth of additions including online communication, a substantial gallery and a recreation of the PET screen.

What is Mega Man Battle Network?

The first Mega Man Battle Network debuted in March 2001 as a new Mega Man series.

Set in a near future with highly advanced networks, its adventures feature a relatable protagonist. Its fresh data-action RPG gameplay combines card-battle strategy with action, capturing the hearts of children at the time and growing into a popular series.

Mega Man Battle Network also became a serialized comic and a television anime, generating a tremendous response.

The world of Mega Man Battle Network

In the year 200X, the rapid development of the internet has ushered in the age of networks.

Using portable terminals called PETs and programs with personalities called NetNavis, people enjoy the benefits of numerous network technologies.

Yet while life becomes more convenient, many forms of cybercrime are also taking place. The protagonist, Lan Hikari, and his NetNavi, MegaMan, join forces to face one incident after another.

Lan Hikari and MegaMan

A sixth grader who lives in ACDC Town in Den City. His schoolwork leaves something to be desired, but he is outstanding at virus busting.

He and his Navi, MegaMan, are the best of friends, and their close teamwork shines through in battle.

Mayl Sakurai and Roll

Lan's classmate and childhood friend, Mayl likes to look after him in all sorts of ways. Her hobby is practicing the piano.

Her Navi, Roll, is Mayl's best friend and also gets along well with MegaMan.

Eugene Chaud and ProtoMan

A cool-headed boy who has solved numerous incidents as a government-approved Official NetBattler despite being an elementary school student.

His Navi, ProtoMan, is also a calm, highly capable Navi whom cybercriminals fear as someone to watch out for.

Yai Ayanokoji and Glide

A wealthy classmate of Lan's. Her high IQ allowed her to skip grades, making her two years younger than Lan and his friends.

Her Navi, Glide, is a polite butler type.

Dex Oyama and GutsMan

Lan's classmate and the typical neighborhood boss kid.

His Navi, GutsMan, is a power-focused character proud of his strength. Even so, the pair have a hard time defeating Lan and MegaMan in NetBattles.

Yuichiro Hikari and Haruka Hikari

Lan's father and mother.

Yuichiro is actually the genius scientist who developed NetNavis, and he has extensive knowledge of programs. He currently works at the Ministry of Science, but he is so busy that he is rarely home even on days off.

Haruka looks after the Hikari household in place of Lan's father, who seldom makes it home. She is a good cook and has recently become enthusiastic about baking homemade bread.

Mr. Famous

A man known as a master of NetBattles. He uses a variety of Navis and spends his days researching battle techniques.

To train outstanding NetBattlers, he challenges young NetBattlers he encounters along the way and teaches them various techniques and information.

Baryl and Colonel

A former soldier known as “Invincible Baryl,” who once led the Netopian military. No matter how desperate the situation, he makes the right decisions.

His relationship with Colonel goes beyond that of an Operator and Navi. They share the strong bond of comrades who have passed through countless battlefields together.

Dr. Wily

The leader of the cybercrime organization WWW, or World Three, and an evil genius scientist.

For a certain reason, he harbors a deep hatred of network society and plots to destroy it.

Bass

The strongest Navi, lurking in the deepest reaches of the internet and constantly seeking immense power and battle.

He stands in MegaMan's way time and time again.

Collection contents and compatibility

This product combines Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.

It contains ten games, including different versions, from Mega Man Battle Network through Mega Man Battle Network 6, with new features added. Mega Man Battle Network 4.5 is not included.

The linking functions with related toys and hobby products supported by the original releases are not available.

Cross-play and cross-save with versions for other platforms are not supported.
