The story of one Watcher

In a world where life flourishes through reincarnation, people celebrate the lives they have received and offer prayers for their next life.

Grief over death binds the living and makes the dead hesitate. To mourn death is therefore a taboo that obstructs reincarnation.

People turn their sadness into smiles as they send off the dead.

Yet even the hearts of those who tried to forget their tears needed salvation.

From that need, a role was born. The people called its bearers Watchers.

They save the wandering souls of the dead, known as the Lost, serving as mediators between the living and the dead, this world and the next.

Watchers sever the attachments of the Lost and send them into their next life. They touch the feelings of the living and the dead, and respect life.

This is the story of one Watcher and his life.

Two worlds that form a pair

Discover the shadows of monsters in the Living World and make your way into the Beyond. There, a Lost boy awaits.

Two worlds exist as a pair: the world of the living, the Living World, and the world of the dead, the Beyond.

Although these worlds correspond to one another, they are not completely identical. The Lost exist only in the Beyond, and the terrain differs in some places.

Watchers must travel between the two worlds to carry out their duties.

A story of life woven across two worlds

To save the Lost, you travel between the Living World and the Beyond, investigate what caused a soul to become Lost and guide it toward a resolution.

A Watcher's true role is to fulfill the wishes of the Lost and return them to the cycle of reincarnation. When that proves impossible, however, a decision may be needed to prevent their transformation into monsters.

Kagachi: the one who has forgotten love

“In this country, which believes in the principle of reincarnation, death must represent hope.”

A young Watcher who embodies the principle of reincarnation, Kagachi believes his mission is to connect people's lives to their next existence.

For that reason, he does not hesitate to end another person's life with his own hands when carrying out his duties requires it.

An encounter with the mysterious girl Linne draws him into a bloodstained fate.

Linne: the one who seeks love

“This principle does not exist to bind life... It connects life with hope.”

A mysterious girl who once appeared before Kagachi when he was a boy.

When she appears again before Kagachi after he becomes a Watcher, she looks exactly as she did all those years ago...

Having forgotten even her own name, she comes to be called Linne by Kagachi, after a flower.

Kuroyasha: the one who destroys love

“My name is Kuroyasha. An incarnation of hatred... A calamity from the past.”

A mysterious swordsman dressed in black, shrouded in a forgotten past and jet-black hellfire. No one knows the true face of Kuroyasha, bound by chains of resentment.

Driven by the origins of sin and wandering endlessly through darkness, he relentlessly pursues Linne in order to release his hatred.

He appears from nowhere, kills and vanishes.

Kagachi will confront this man, who persistently hunts Linne, time and again.

Action battles with real-time Daemon switching

On rare occasions, a Lost soul with exceptionally strong feelings becomes a Daemon instead of transforming into a monster.

Although Daemons have lost their memories, they possess a strong will rooted in their feelings, together with immense power.

The protagonist meets Daemons in the Beyond and allows their power to possess his own body so he can battle powerful monsters.

The role of Daemons

Daemons serve a role comparable to jobs or character classes.

Each Daemon has its own weapon and distinctive skills. The way you approach combat changes significantly depending on which Daemon possesses you.

Switching between Daemons in real time to match the situation is essential to controlling the battle.

Binding Daemons

As a Watcher with powerful abilities, Kagachi can freely switch between up to four Daemons.

Arrange your Daemon bindings at the monuments scattered around the map, then set out on your mission.

Skill trees

Each Daemon has its own unique skill tree.

Collect the soulstones dropped by monsters and invest them in the skill tree to learn more powerful skills and improve your abilities.
