Risky manoeuvres encouraged: the BUZZ shooter returns
Psyvariar is a shooting game that first appeared in arcades in 2000. Its thrilling, strategic BUZZ system lets you power up by grazing enemy bullets with your craft.
This latest version brings together the original Psyvariar: Medium Unit and its revised edition, Psyvariar: Revision, with higher-resolution graphics and new elements. Respecting the originals to the fullest, it combines both games and the additions to give their shooting action a new form.
New play display and options for practice and strategy
The new user interface can display information during play, including earned experience, boss health and remaining invincibility time after levelling up.
Visualising these details makes the game easier for beginners to understand and more interesting for experienced players developing their strategies.
Detailed options can be switched on or off, including displays that clarify the collision areas of your craft and enemies. Customise the presentation freely to suit your skill level.
A screen-rotation option also enables arcade-style portrait play.
New modes with online rankings
SCORE ATTACK MODE lets players compete for high scores at a set difficulty. REPLAY MODE+ lets you challenge your personal best score and replay data for each stage. Both support online rankings.
PRACTICE MODE also offers detailed settings for practising a wide range of situations.
New craft and unprecedented combinations
Play Revision stages using the Medium Unit craft, or Medium Unit stages using the Revision craft. These previously impossible combinations create a dream crossover.
