Raiden V arrives on PS4 as a Director’s Cut

The latest entry in the landmark shooting-game series, popular in arcades and on Xbox, comes to PlayStation 4.

The Xbox One version, released in February 2016, achieved an exceptional long run. Its Cheer System, which lets players support others through the network, opens a new era of shoot ’em up play.

This new generation of shooting combines the authentic game balance and character of the Raiden series with the creativity of a new generation of creators.

Additional features for PS4

All the elements of the Xbox One version are included, with new additions: local multiplayer for two simultaneous players and new mission stages.

The scenarios now feature full Japanese voice acting. Even players of the previous version can enjoy a fresh experience in this expanded edition, which offers an unprecedented amount of content.

A substantial, branching story told with full voice acting

The scenarios are fully voiced in Japanese. Experience the story introduced through the Raiden series’ first scenario system.

The network-connected Cheer System

With the Cheer System, players online can support one another at the press of a button and unleash powerful attacks.

When you meet various conditions during network play and perform a notable feat, the achievement is sent to other players, who can send you a cheer in return.

This creates a new shoot ’em up experience using the network, allowing players in different places to cooperate with one another.

Real-time information from every player

Play information from all players is obtained in real time. Weapon usage rates, scores and the records of fellow players can provide the key to overcoming difficult sections.

Each user’s play data accumulates, and play trends and weapon usage are displayed in real time. Discover your own strategy within the deep game balance and this new connected experience.

Cheer information and score graphs

Displays include cheer achievements, the number of cheers received and score-related information.

Personal information

View detailed information about your own previous play and results.

Strategy information

Receive strategy advice suited to the current scene during play. This wealth of information adds excitement to the game.
