Surviving is only where it starts
Resident Evil 4 remakes the original 2005 game for a new generation of survival horror. This 2023 reimagining retains the original's essential appeal while updating the gameplay, reworking the story and adding richly detailed visuals. Survival and death, fear and the release of tension meet in this renewed horror adventure.
Story
Six years after the biological catastrophe in Raccoon City, survivor Leon S. Kennedy serves as an agent answering directly to the United States president.
Drawing on the experience of numerous missions, Leon is assigned to rescue the president's abducted daughter. His search leads to an isolated village in Europe, whose inhabitants seem terribly wrong.
A perilous rescue mission becomes an ordeal of relentless horror.
PlayStation 5 upgrade
The PlayStation 4 version supports an upgrade to the downloadable PlayStation 5 version at no additional software cost. Upgrading from the physical PlayStation 4 release requires a PlayStation 5 console equipped with a disc drive.
