PlayStation 4 Resident Evil Origins Collection

Everything began with the mansion incident—and now its beginning is revealed

Uncover the full story of the mansion incident with Resident Evil Origins Collection, bringing together two games. Released alongside Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster, this package contains Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster and Resident Evil HD Remaster for PlayStation 4. Playing both lets you discover truths that remain hidden when you experience only one. The original collection was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Two closely connected works

Resident Evil depicts the mansion incident that started everything, while Resident Evil 0 portrays the events leading up to it. Their stories and the characters who appear in them are closely intertwined, making them a complementary pair. Only by playing both can you see the whole picture of the mansion incident.

Resident Evil features members of Bravo Team, including Resident Evil 0 protagonist Rebecca Chambers. In Resident Evil 0, Alpha Team leader Albert Wesker also appears as a key figure. Experience both to discover their many connections.

Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster

The prologue to Raccoon City's collapse returns more beautifully through the latest HD technology. With innovative systems and a story leading to the mansion incident, the original's graphics already exceeded the standards of their time; now they evolve further, remaining both beautiful and frightening. The remaster goes beyond HD visuals, retuning sound and the feel of play throughout the game to revive an essential chapter of Resident Evil history.

New Wesker Mode

Wesker Mode is included as an extra unlocked after completing the game. Enjoy exhilarating gameplay with the superhuman Albert Wesker of Resident Evil 5, empowered by Uroboros. This offers a different flavor of Resident Evil 0 from the main story.

Selectable Japanese voices

Alongside the original English voices and Japanese subtitles, Japanese voice acting can be selected. A powerful cast and sound enhanced to 5.1 channels draw you further into the drama.

Resident Evil HD Remaster

The fear of walking there—again. The acclaimed remake of the original Resident Evil, the starting point of survival horror, returns in HD without losing its overwhelming fear. Carefully crafted, detailed graphics and high-quality sound create an immersive experience.

Additional features

The HD remaster supports widescreen 16:9, and lets you switch in real time to the original 4:3 aspect ratio. Added features include alternate controls that move the character in the direction of the analog stick, along with Japanese voices performed by an accomplished cast.

Wesker's Report I & II

Wesker's Report I is a video lasting more than 15 minutes, whose narration reveals background to the series that the games do not show. It is re-edited and remastered for this release. Wesker's Report II is a written work of more than 50 pages: Wesker's journal leads you deeper into the darkness behind the mansion incident.
