PlayStation 4 Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Romancing SaGa 2 returns in a complete 3D remake

Originally released in December 1993, Romancing SaGa 2 tells the epic story of the battles between the ancient Seven Heroes and successive emperors of the Varennes Empire, unfolding through a free-form scenario.

The SaGa series' distinctive, groundbreaking systems, including Glimmers and Formations, remain. Battles and character growth have been reworked, United Attacks have been introduced, and difficulty settings have been added. The game systems have been rebuilt to make this adventure approachable both for fans of the original and for newcomers.

The vast world once depicted in pixel art has been renewed in beautiful full 3D. Leon, Gerard and the Seven Heroes retain the spirit of their original designs in their new 3D appearances, and event scenes are fully voiced.

The story

Imperial year 1000.

Terrifying monsters run rampant in a world where nations continually wage war for supremacy. People await the fulfilment of the legend of the Seven Heroes, who are said to appear in troubled times and save the world.

One day, Kzinssie, one of those Seven Heroes, launches a sudden attack upon the imperial capital, Avalon. He tramples its people and takes the life of the Empire's brave heir, Prince Victor.

The legend was a lie.

As this truth overwhelms the people with despair and grief, Victor's father, Emperor Leon, firmly vows revenge against the immensely powerful Seven Heroes.

Through inheritance magic bestowed upon him by the mage Orieve, Leon finds a way to strike back at the cost of his own life, passing his power and memories to his other son, Gerard.

Thus begins the distant song of battle: the long, fierce struggle to the death between the Empire's emperors and the Seven Heroes.
