Ashikaga Yoshiteru—voiced by Shuichi Ikeda

A newly playable warlord: the violet comet who moves at triple speed and controls time. His unique battle style changes his abilities through roulette. Using certain unique moves triggers a roulette wheel that lets him switch styles.

Land on red and his body glows red, speeding up every action. Land on black and he enters a powered-up mode with dramatically stronger individual strikes. Hit the most difficult gold result and everyone except the golden-glowing Ashikaga seems to freeze in time: enter a golden world where you can also obtain large quantities of koban coins and other rewards!

Dominate the battlefield with his freely transforming shaku scepter. Ashikaga Yoshiteru wields this versatile weapon with a repertoire of powerful techniques. Drawing on the distinctive properties of swords, spears and bows, his moves cover everything from close combat to long range.

Sen no Rikyu—voiced by Takahiro Sakurai

A new warlord: a psychic tea master with a split personality. Entertain your opponents however you please! Rikyu uses mysterious powers to control enemies and objects, fighting as though dancing. He can levitate enemies, bring them together and defeat the entire group at once. Preparing tea on the battlefield is another play style unique to Sen no Rikyu.

Inside him reside Wabisuke, who dislikes fighting, and Sabisuke, who is combative. His personality changes with the technique he uses: elegant moves bring out Wabisuke, while aggressive moves bring out Sabisuke.

Kyogoku Maria—voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro

A newly playable warlord: a wicked beauty with an unparalleled sadistic streak. Tie them up, spin them around and do whatever you like! Maria's weapon is cloth. Her repertoire includes innocent-looking skipping-rope and hula-hoop moves, or having enemy soldiers pull her along instead of horses.

Play with your enemies as whimsically as you please! Bind enemy soldiers with cloth and turn them into spinning tops, transforming the battlefield into something like a pinball table. She is a recommended choice—perhaps—for anyone who wants a thoroughly sadistic play style. Throw the enemy army into confusion, then sit back and enjoy the show!

The series' largest roster: 40 playable warlords

Alongside newcomer Sen no Rikyu, Ashikaga Yoshiteru and Kyogoku Maria—enemy warlords in the previous game—finally become playable. Famous figures including Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin also join the roster. Play through the distinctive actions and stories of all 40 warlords!

Battle Roulette: the outcome changes the battle

Defeat an enemy soldier bearing the roulette symbol during battle to start the wheel spinning. There are four possible results:

• Senkin: a jackpot awarding 1,000 medals.
• Transformation: your playable warlord temporarily changes into various characters.
• Tenka: plentiful opportunities to earn medals.
• Batten: a result likely to put you in a dangerous situation.

Transformation can turn your warlord into a bomb soldier, Akatsukimaru, or Naoe Kanetsugu, famous in the series for calling himself invincible. Naoe possesses astonishing strength, defeating even formidable enemy warlords—as well as ordinary foot soldiers—with a single blow. But taking just one hit yourself ends the transformation, so stay alert!
