Love's fireworks light up the heart — these feelings can never be cut apart
Story
Japan, 204X. Jindou, a sport of the near future, is flourishing as a national pastime.
The most famous Jindou event of all is the Daihouen. Nadeshiko Suzakuin is achieving spectacular results there as a professional swordswoman while still attending the academy.
Meanwhile, the protagonist, Kazuma Takigawa, is a down-and-out professional swordsman who earns his daily living competing in Jindou matches in an underground arena. Although gifted with the sword, he has been pushed aside by warrior society and has spent his life in the shadows.
One day, these two people, whose origins and circumstances could scarcely be more different, have a fateful encounter.
“Kazuma, your swordsmanship is the real thing. Let's aim for the top of the Daihouen together!”
“...Yes, that's right. It would be wonderful if we could do that.”
Both captivated by Jindou, they are drawn to each other's swordsmanship and seek one another out. Komari Takigawa and Parvi Hanabusa also join Team Hakurou, and together they will eventually bring great changes to the Daihouen stage.
Victory brings glory; defeat means a fall. In the harsh professional world, the swordsmen carry their convictions in their hearts as they step into battles in which they cannot yield.
A swordsman lives in the instant. A moment that slips away will never return.
Then set your soul ablaze.
—This instant is worth dedicating your life to—
